Pericles 2025
Pericles tells the epic story of the titular character’s long, arduous journey filled with personal loss, exile, and separation from his family. The play spans years of struggle as Pericles faces shipwrecks, the loss of his wife Thaisa, and the kidnapping of his daughter Marina. At its core, Pericles is a story about a father and daughter finding each other against all odds, making it one of Shakespeare’s most hopeful and moving works.
Directed by Peter G. Andersen, the production will feature original live music composed by Daniel Emond, blending a nautical, crooning sound reminiscent of early 2000s band Beirut. The actors will perform the text while playing instruments and singing, making for a truly engaging experience.
